The Audit Commission and independent watchdog has identified Telford & Wrekin Council as one of the top performing councils in the West Midlands.

Aroma Training Academy is proud to have worked with the council in delivering a range of qualifications to it's workforce.

The training provided to the council consists of Level 1 Food Safety Awareness designed as induction training for all new employees or where their level of food handling does not warrant a Level 2 Food Safety qualification. The main delivery is an approved Food Safety qualification by "Chartered Institute Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, this course has been slightly adapted towards the needs of the candidates, who prepare and cook food for a vunerable group like the eldely, as food poisoning for this group can prove fatal.

Level 2 Award in Paediatrics First Aid has also been delivered to carers who are responsible for the care of children.

A 2.85M training fund has been launched to help boost the skills of hundreds of Senior Managers, Directors and Owners of Businesses across the West Midlands, including Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire.
Aroma Training & Consultancy working in partnership with Business Link as an approved supplier offers the "Director Development Programme" (DDP) a service which provides advice and subsidised training to the key decision makers/directors of business with between 5 and 249 employees.

Pathways is an emerging social firm - a charitable company that reinvests its trading surplus for social benefit. Pathways is committed to providing work-based training and employment opportuntites for people with disabilities or who are otherwise at a disadvantage in accessing work in a more convential setting.

It currently operates the Frogmeadow Community Cafe at the park Lane Community Centre in Woodside, Telford and the Oak Farm Tea Rooms in Ditton Priors, South Shropshire.

Aroma Training Academy provides training in (CIEH) Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering to it's employees.

NSF-CMi Plc is an approved contractor for the Food Standards Agency for the purpose of "Safer Food Better Business" (SFBB) coaching programme.

NSF-CMi Plc is one of the experienced providers of SFBB training & coaching support, having already delivered over 20,000 coaching visits for Local Authorities around the country.

Aroma Consultancy has been sub-contracted by NSF-CMi Plc since January 2006 providing trained coaching support in SFBB to Restaurants, Hotels, Cafes, Care Homes, Pubs, and Caterers helping businesses comply with current food safety requlations.


The college is one of a small number nationally to be graded as "Outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted. With an annual  turnover of £274M, and is the largest provider of further education in Shropshire.
Aroma Training Academy provides a part-time lecturer in Food Safety; Health & Safety and HSE Approved First Aid training to it Community Education Department.
